We are currently seeking an experienced Fire and Security Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Fire and Security Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining fire and security systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
**Installation and Maintenance**: Install and maintain fire detection and security alarm systems, including emergency lighting, remote monitoring, intruder alarms, access controls, intercoms, and nurse call systems.
**Customer Support**: Provide excellent customer support and work closely with our clients to ensure that their fire and security systems are functioning properly.
**Technical Support**: Provide technical support to our clients and colleagues, and communicate with staff at all levels to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service.
**Health and Safety**: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety guidelines and regulations, and contribute to a safe working environment.
Requirements
**Experience**: 3-5 years' experience in a fire and security role, with a strong background in installation, service, and maintenance engineering.
**Manufactured Training**: Manufactured trained in leading fire and security systems, with a strong understanding of system design and installation.
**Skills**: Excellent technical skills, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and identify solutions to complex problems. Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
Desirable Skills
**Product Knowledge**: Specific product knowledge of manufacturers such as Advanced Electronics, HAES, Kentec, Gent, Hochiki, Apollo, Vesda, Airsense, Honeywell, Paxton, Control Soft, Videcon, and Hikvision would be an advantage.
**Certifications**: City and Guilds 236 parts 1&2 electrical installation, 17th or 18th Edition Electrical qualification, and a clean, valid driving license would be desirable.
What We Offer
**Salary and Benefits**: A competitive salary between £38k - £42k (DOE), company van, fuel card, company mobile phone and relevant IT equipment, 20 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays, with an additional one day added per every 2 years' service (up to 25 days), pension scheme enrolment after 3 months service, cycle scheme, tech scheme, long-service awards, enhanced overtime rates, callout retainer for Engineers, and travel time paid one way – from home/main office to site (whichever is nearer).
