About the Role:

This position involves helping our talented designers excel and collaborating closely with the Chief Creative Officer to elevate the company's creative direction.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the CCO to operationalize our creative purpose, developing frameworks and best practices for the design team.
  • Foster a positive design culture, setting clear standards and expectations for collaboration and growth.
  • Lead the game designers, UX designers, and content designers as their line manager.
  • Cultivate designer growth through regular coaching, training opportunities, and goal-setting.
  • Ensure new hires have a focused onboarding experience with clear goals and assessments.
  • Promote initiatives and best practices to enhance designer productivity and efficiency.
  • Advocate for the design team at the company level, ensuring sustainable work conditions and necessary resources.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and managing designers.
  • In-depth understanding of game design, including live ops, economies, and progression systems.
  • Familiarity with the F2P casual mobile market to effectively mentor the design team.
  • A people-first approach prioritizing designer well-being while achieving company goals.
  • The ability to continually improve processes and structures for flourishing designers.
  • A 'yes, and' attitude towards supporting the design team's needs.
Salary:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
