The School of Medicine at the University of Ulster is being established to widen access to medicine across the North-West of Northern Ireland, with a vision to encourage graduates into careers in General Practice. As part of this initiative, we are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to lead the delivery of GP Education for our MBBS programme.

About the Role:
  • To act as an influential and positive role model for students, leveraging their clinical credibility to persuade and influence clinical colleagues in developing high-quality clinical learning experiences.
  • To lead the GP-based clinical education team, responsible for ensuring the quality and relevance of educational content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing GP-based clinical education strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clinical colleagues to ensure seamless integration of GP services into the MBBS programme.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the GP-based clinical education team.

Requirements:

  • MClinEd or equivalent qualification in Medical Education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians and educators.
  • A proven track record of leadership and management experience within a medical education setting.

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
