Job Overview

To provide high-quality secretarial support to Consultant Geriatricians and their teams, with a focus on audio typing clinic letters and administrative tasks.

Main Duties

  • Provide an efficient secretarial service to Consultant Geriatricians, Advanced Practitioner staff, and support colleagues during absence.
  • Assist the Department PA's with administrative duties, including typing clinic letters, and fully support the secretarial team.
  • Use the hospital computer system to access patient details, and maintain accurate records.
  • Photocopy, fax, scan, and file documents, and be responsible for out-going post.
  • Answer secretaries' telephone and take messages when required.

Person Specification

  • GCSE in English and Maths equivalent
  • Vocational qualification level 3 in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Minute Taking skills
  • Computer literate with word processing experience
  • Audiotyping knowledge

Language Requirement

English language proficiency is essential to undertake the role.
