Criminology Lecturer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced criminology lecturer to join our faculty. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in criminology, establish a research agenda, advise students, and contribute to departmental and university service.

Responsibilities:

• Teach 12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate courses in criminology/criminal justice
• Establish and maintain a research agenda
• Advise students
• Contribute to discipline and university service

Requirements:

• PhD in criminology, criminal justice, or a related field
• ABD candidates considered
• Demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching
• Skills in academic advising and mentoring students
• Evidence of an active research agenda

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to teach multiple core courses in the criminology and criminal justice programs
• Area of specialization open, but preference given to candidates with expertise in corrections
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is $**80,000 - $120,000 per year**, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off.
