Lead IT Department at DirectMedics

We are seeking a visionary IT leader to co-head our IT department, driving strategic objectives and managing projects that enhance our technology landscape. With a strong focus on IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, you will help shape our IT strategy and lead our team to success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Jointly lead the IT department, overseeing day-to-day operations and the team's long-term growth and development, with an emphasis on delivering quality experience and great customer service to internal stakeholders.
  2. Play a key role in defining and executing the IT strategy in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  3. Oversee IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.
  4. Lead cybersecurity efforts to safeguard the company's data and systems, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  5. Manage and optimize our use of the Microsoft Azure suite, ensuring our cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and cost-efficient.
  6. Collaborate closely with senior management to ensure IT initiatives are aligned with broader business goals.
  7. Develop and enforce IT policies, focusing on security, operational efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
  8. Continuously monitor and assess emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance the company's technology capabilities.
  9. Build and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  10. Support and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.
Requirements:
  1. A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  2. 5 to 10 years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and project management.
  3. Proven experience managing IT projects, from planning through to successful delivery.
  4. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Active Directory, virtual machines, and cloud security tools; other Cloud architectures are advantageous but not required.
  5. Demonstrable knowledge of working with CMS based suites with a good understanding of integrations also advantageous.
  6. A solid understanding of network architecture, firewalls, and security protocols.
  7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse IT team.
  8. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  9. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
Bonus Skills:
  1. Experience with ITIL or similar frameworks.
  2. Familiarity with compliance standards like GDPR, ISO 27001.
  3. Experience managing hybrid cloud environments and virtualized infrastructure.
