Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As part of our vibrant and growing veterinary practice, GLG Vets, you will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
Job Title: Veterinary Care Specialist
Location: GLG Vets
Working Hours: 22.5 hours Wednesday to Friday or 37.5 hours Monday to Friday with 1 in 4 Saturdays (9:00am till 12:00pm). Shifts alternate weekly between 7:45am – 3:45pm and 10:15am – 6:15am.
Salary: Up to £29,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
- Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
- Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
- Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
