As a DB2 Systems Programmer at Barclays UK, you will be responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems. Your goal will be to ensure that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.

You will have experience with the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of the IBM DB2 product and related products. You will also have a strong understanding of system performance and monitoring techniques, as well as experience with Broadcom and IBM Db2 tools.

Key skills for success in this role include risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology skills. You will be assessed on your ability to apply software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.

This role will be based in our Knutsford office, where you will work closely with the team to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions. You will be responsible for monitoring IT infrastructure and system performance, identifying potential issues, and resolving them in a timely manner.

As a DB2 Systems Programmer, you will be expected to stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

Key accountabilities for this role include building engineering, automation, learning, and risk management. You will be responsible for developing and implementing automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
