About The Role

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team in Bellshill, Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial management of our Scottish Power Framework contract, ensuring safe and profitable delivery of all works.
  • Develop and implement a clear commercial strategy, including tender strategies, cash flow strategies, and margin improvement strategies.
  • Manage the supply chain, ensuring best value procurement and effective commercial and operational parameters.
  • Collaborate with the Contract Director and Finance Business Partner to set the annual business plan and create strategies to achieve its elements.
  • Attend regular meetings, engagement, and feedback sessions with the customer, ensuring visibility and realization of future work volumes.
  • Identify and manage change, and develop and maintain the Framework Risk and Opportunity Register.
  • Maximize cash position, including WIP control, cash flow production, and improvement plans for the framework.
  • Provide accurate management reports on a regular basis, leading weekly project reviews, and ensuring compliance with year-end audit requirements.
Requirements
  • A comprehensive level of commercial experience, preferably with a contracting organization, with proven experience of working on a project of similar scale and complexity.
  • Demonstrable expert knowledge of contract procedure, particularly those applicable to the NEC suite of contracts.
  • Demonstrable leadership capacity, possessing excellent communication skills.
  • BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction-related subject.
  • Relevant CSCS card.
