About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Technologist to join our dynamic and fast-growing company, I Love My Job Ltd, with a strong global presence in the fragrance, homewares, and gifting sectors. This role is crucial in ensuring that our company meets all global compliance standards, undertakes relevant testing, secures the necessary certifications, and ensures a robust and ethical supplier base to support our international operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements across key markets, including the UK, EU, US, and emerging markets.
  • Supplier Management: Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of all technical data, audits, and certifications.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring our company's compliance with global market requirements.
  • Technical Data Management: Organise and manage all technical data, ensuring that tests and documentation are complete and compliant before product shipment.
  • Artwork Review: Review and approve all artwork to ensure it includes compliant safety text for the target markets.
  • Project Timeline Management: Oversee the compliance aspect of the project timeline, ensuring products are delivered on time and meet the required technical specifications.
  • Compliance Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve compliance-related issues swiftly, ensuring key stakeholders are informed of any potential risks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments, including working with safety assessors to obtain timely and detailed information, and ensuring that all teams are aligned and informed about compliance status.
  • Process Development: Take a proactive approach in developing and implementing compliance processes, with the autonomy to shape the compliance function as the company continues to grow.
Requirements
  • Regulatory Compliance Experience: Good regulatory compliance experience, ideally within the cosmetics, fragrance, homewares, or gifting industries.
  • MSDS/SDS Familiarity: Familiarity with MSDS/SDS processes is highly desirable.
  • Regulatory Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory systems and notification portals for the UK, EU, and US markets.
  • Excel Skills: Strong Excel skills, with experience managing compliance databases and tracking metrics.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing data and documentation.
  • Organisation: Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Self-Starter: A self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the compliance function.
  • UK Driving Licence: UK driving licence + access to a vehicle due to office location.
  • Team Player: A team player with a collaborative approach, ready to support, mentor, and develop junior team members as the compliance department grows.
