As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our production site meets its Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly production audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Perform monthly H&S audits to identify and mitigate risks
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, yards, and warehouses to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist in third-party audits (ISO 9001, BRCGS, SMETA) to maintain our certification
  • Raise non-conformities (NCs) related to issues found during manufacturing or delivery of raw materials
  • Manage the closure of NCs with relevant departments (e.g., purchasing, site management)
  • Inspect incoming goods and raw materials for quality and safety
  • Work with site management to set and achieve Quality Objectives
  • Be the primary contact for production floor staff to discuss Quality issues
  • Perform daily product Quality checks (first off checks and random checks) for all products manufactured
  • Ensure all site Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental records are up to date
  • Create and update Production Specifications/Packing Specifications
  • Generate labels for AA/PV/PP/NP documents
  • Assist in the running of production trials
  • Manage the site Document Control system and ensure all documentation is current
  • Manage site noticeboards and ensure policies, procedures, etc. are up to date
  • Manage the site external testing program and send samples for testing as required
  • Attend daily DPM meetings and complete relevant actions
  • Provide training to production staff on Quality specifications, H&S, and Environmental issues
  • Manage site calibration records and ensure all equipment is calibrated as required
  • Provide cover to other factory sites when required

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification desirable
  • Familiarity with SAP desirable

Experience:

  • Previous Quality control/Quality Assurance experience
  • Experience in internal audits
  • Previous H&S experience desirable
  • Third-party audit experience desirable (ISO 9001/BRCGS)
