Are you passionate about providing excellent service and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment?
We are seeking a Kitchen Team Member to join our catering team at a school in Stockton-on-Tees. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving food, handling payments, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in food preparation and serving in a commercial setting, with the ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team. They will also have strong communication skills and be able to provide excellent customer service to students and staff.
About the Role
The Kitchen Team Member will be responsible for:
- Preparing and serving food to students and staff
- Handling payments and maintaining cash registers
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
- Working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve kitchen targets
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in food preparation and serving in a commercial setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £12.00 per hour, paid on a PAYE basis, ensuring correct levels of TAX and National Insurance.
