Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Portsmouth. As a key member of the facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive building maintenance within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform lighting installations, fault-finding, and lamp replacement
  • Conduct emergency lighting tests and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Work on control panels and electrical systems
  • Replace ballasts and maintain BMS systems
  • Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
  • Update log books and maintain accurate records
  • Perform plumbing tasks, including unblocking toilets and maintaining water treatment systems
Working Hours:

The successful candidate will work a 4-week rota, with varying shifts and hours, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements:
  • City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 electrical qualification
  • 18th Edition certification
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
