About the Role:

This exciting new position ensures that inventory management, packaging, loading, and dispatch processes are efficient, safe, and compliant, meeting food safety and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the planning, receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, ensuring optimal stock levels and accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
  • Warehouse Operations: Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities, packing, storage, loading operations, and good inwards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including packers, loaders, forklift operators, and inventory team members.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with transport teams to ensure on-time and in-full shipments of flour to customers.
  • Quality Control and Food Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (GMP, HACCP, etc.) and conduct regular inspections of warehouse conditions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in warehouse management, preferably in the food processing industry, and hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.

Person Specification:

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on team development, and strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.

Salary: £47,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus benefits.
