Ecommerce Marketplace Specialist

At Alex James Digital, we are seeking a highly motivated Ecommerce Marketplace Specialist to join our Sales & Marketing team.
The Role
We are looking for an ambitious individual to build on the success of established seller accounts and drive revenue growth on various sales platforms, including Amazon and eBay.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize product listings and promotions to the highest standards.
- Implement effective pricing strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
- Monitor site metrics, including traffic sources, impressions, page views, conversation rates, and channel-specific metrics, to support decision-making and strategy.
- Monitor marketing spend.
- Strive to exceed sales forecasts.
- Identify problems and liaise with other staff/departments.
- Research trends to stay ahead of the current market.
- Research and respond to competitor pricing, promotions, and products.
- Liaise with the buying team for sales feedback, product recommendations, and restocking.
- Develop strategies for clearance or excess stock.
Requirements
- Ambitious and sales-driven.
- High attention to detail for accurate product listings.
- Experience with CMS (content management systems).
- Commercially aware with strong business acumen.
- Ability to understand profit and margin.
- Excellent computer and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze sales reports and customer traffic reports.
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proactive and able to use initiative to solve problems.
- Committed to seasonal overtime if needed.
- Ideal candidate has a Degree in Digital Marketing/Ecommerce or similar.
