Accounting Manager

Sewell Wallis is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accounting Manager to join our client, a global retail and distribution business based in Rotherham, for a 12-month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a motivated Corporate Accounting team from a technical accounting and statutory reporting perspective, ensuring high-quality accounting activities and support to the business.
- Establish a team to service all retained corporate accounting activity, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Review and challenge financial results, ensuring a continual monitoring and improvement in the controls environment around all accounting activities.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely data provision and proactive resolution of audit findings.
- Ensure adherence to Group Treasury policies, including cash management, foreign exchange deals, interest, and loan management for all UK entities.
- Complete long-term cash flow forecasts to effectively manage cash flow for the company's benefit.
- Sign off all Treasury tasks and procedures, ensuring deadlines are met and work is carried out to the highest standard.
- Recognized professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
- Technical Accounting skills with circa 4 years post-qualification experience, preferably with practice in a similar role.
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Hybrid working with 2 days in the office (flexible on days and start and finish times).
