Job Title: Assistant Director, Grants Management

Join our Development Department as we strive to secure foundation, state, and federal funding support to advance our mission.

Under the guidance of the Director of Philanthropy, the Assistant Director, Grants Management will play a pivotal role in securing funding to support our programs and projects.

  • Research and identify potential grant and foundation funders to support our organization's initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including NEA, NEH, IMLS, the Getty Foundation, and other major funders.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications and reports, collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and effective submissions.
  • Assist in the development of written proposals and solicitations for individual, corporate, and foundation support.
  • Provide writing support for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts.

Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in grant writing or grants management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience in the museum field, with a focus on decorative arts, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of grants management, philanthropic trends, and the cultural heritage landscape.
  • Proficiency in Raiser's Edge and Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and adaptability to support institutional priorities.
