We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Business Partner to join our Corporate and Institutional Banking team at NatWest Group.
As a Marketing Business Partner, you will be responsible for leading the marketing strategy for our Corporate and Institutional Banking business, working closely with senior business leaders to convert business objectives into customer-centric strategies.
You will design and implement marketing plans, making decisions on resources and priorities to deliver on the strategy. This will involve translating business objectives into operational management activities, recommending and delivering a portfolio of products and services in line with the Marketing service proposition.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing insight to business stakeholders on marketing strategy, including annual business planning, marketing campaigns and proposition exploration and development
- Leading and developing a professional, capable and engaged team to meet the needs of the business and customers
- Driving greater visibility of Return on Investment for marketing spend across CIB marketing plans
- Delivering accurate and reliable profiling for the broad spectrum of customers within our Corporate, Institutional and Markets businesses, allowing for personalised marketing interventions to be deployed to the appropriate decision-maker within the business
- Delivering against commercial goals through direct and response marketing, developing a consistent approach across the bank
- Acting as a spokesperson for Corporate & Institutional Banking at external engagements such as trade events and through online networks
- Identifying key marketing priorities through the provision of expert diagnostics, analysis and decision support, making recommendations to the business and Centre of Expertise
- Drawing insights from Centre of Expertise to help inform the annual C&I marketing strategy and budget
Requirements for the role include:
- Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement levels at a senior level, with knowledge and application of marketing strategies and leadership including comprehensive end-to-end understanding of the commercial sales funnel and customer lifetime value
- Strategic and commercial acumen, with experience of creating a clear connection between commercial drivers and marketing strategies
- Marketing experience within a large matrix organisation and knowledge of the banking industry, regulatory and commercial environment, specifically corporate and institutional banking including financial and capital markets
- Marketing technical expertise including Global Corporates, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Real Money Funds, Global Insurers, Non-Bank Financial Institutions, Structured Finance, and Markets
- The ability to make data driven decisions and support a culture of continuous improvement
- Cross-border marketing experience in key geographical markets aligned to NatWest's Commercial & Institutional franchise, including European Economic Area, United States, Singapore, and Japan
- Experience of leading diverse, professional teams
- Experience of operational and financial planning with budget management experience
- A high level of drive, energy and personal commitment to success
- Demonstrated experience in understanding and communicating complex commercial models of value to a broad audience of stakeholders and collaborators
- Knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulations and risk management
