Assistant Drainage Operative Role
RPS Water Operations is seeking a skilled Assistant Drainage Operative to join our waste-water network team based in Grangemouth. As a key member of our 3-person site survey crew, you will be responsible for gathering flow data and other vital information across above and below-ground waste-water assets.
Key responsibilities include ensuring safe systems of work, which may involve safe entry into confined spaces and working on the highway. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding the public and your crew's wellbeing during survey operations. No prior water industry experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training.
This is a permanent position, typically working flexible day shifts from Monday to Friday, based at our Grangemouth office. However, occasional night shifts and work away from home may be required due to contract and survey demands.

Overtime is available on occasion, with Saturdays' time and a half and Sundays' double time. Accommodation and subsistence for any stay away from home are paid by RPS.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safety of Survey Operatives and members of the public
- Moving and handling heavy manhole covers
- Following instructions from your crew leader
- Being alert and monitoring the safety of your team members while underground
- Working at height and within a confined space
Requirements:
- Able to follow instructions
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- A flexible approach to working hours
- Physically able to undertake all duties required (lifting/carrying)
- Commitment to working safely with excellent health and safety awareness
- Basic written, verbal, numerical, and IT skills
- Full UK driving licence
