Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at City of Wolverhampton College. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our learners in a classroom environment, working closely with tutors to provide effective support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside tutors to provide effective support for learners in a classroom environment, following direction from the tutor and working as a team with other SSWs to provide effective support.
  • Liaise with key members of the team to inform the development of planning to support learners in educational and pastoral activities, promoting progression into independent learning and further training and educational opportunities.
  • Support the assessment of adult learners that require support which meets funding requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to SSWs and specialist SSWs to ensure that best practice is shared to help students achieve and progress.
