About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at Randstad Care. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a vital role in providing 24-hour care to vulnerable young people, ensuring their health, hygiene, and safety needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to young people, including administering medication, managing challenging behavior, and maintaining a professional manner.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children, reporting any concerns or incidents.
  • Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and supervision.
  • Support educational needs and activities, teaching essential life skills for independent living.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a residential setting with young people.
  • Flexibility in the roles undertaken.
  • Experience in assisting with educational needs and activities for children.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Registration under the PVG scheme.
  • Full driving license (preferred).
  • Obtained or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
