About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tunnel Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Tunnel Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and development of underground infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop tunnel infrastructure projects, including tunnels, shafts, and other underground structures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Chartered status or close to submitting chartership in civil or structural engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills, with the ability to develop and lead tunnel design teams.
  • Proven post-graduation experience in tunnel design, with a significant proportion gained with an engineering design company.
  • Knowledge of advanced constitutive soil models and experience with numerical modeling software (FLAC or PLAXIS).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
