This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, providing administrative support to nursing staff and patients.
Salary: $28.31 per hour, competitive salary range based on experience and location.
About the Job:
This position is responsible for performing various clerical duties related to patient care, including prioritizing and processing physician orders, acting as a communication link for the unit, and maintaining patient charts and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize, process, coordinate, and transcribe physicians' orders;
- Act as a communication link for the unit;
- Schedule, book, and coordinate patient/resident appointments;
- Maintain patient charts and data, including assembling and inputting information into relevant systems;
- Perform clerical duties such as keyboarding, data entry, filing, compiling, preparing, and maintaining statistics and reports;
- Observe patient call signals and relay messages to appropriate personnel;
Requirements:
- Grade 12 completion;
- A current typing test of 40 wpm or greater completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution;
- Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate;
- Availability to start in a new position.
