Role Overview:

The Senior Adult Protection Officer will play a key role in our Integrated Adult Social Care team in Hull, working closely with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to promote the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of vulnerable adults, including those at risk of abuse or neglect.
  • Lead team practice to empower customers and carers through promoting independence and quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate and quality data on the Care First Database for safeguarding issues, protection plans, and risks.
  • Undertake enquiries into allegations of significant harm to ensure customers' welfare and protection.
  • Conduct safeguarding assessments and enquiries in community or residential settings to maintain customers' welfare and protection.
  • Support service delivery interface between in-house services, external providers, and voluntary agencies to ensure a responsive and flexible response to safeguarding alerts and concerns.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and direction to staff in managing safeguarding issues and ensuring consistent good quality practice.
  • Assist in delivering awareness/training and practice workshops on safeguarding practice, policy, and procedures.
