Lead Software Engineer

Join Roc Search in Basingstoke, Hampshire, as a Senior Software Engineer, working in a hybrid environment with 2 days onsite per week. The salary range is £80k-£84k + Bonus + Car Allowance.

This role requires a strong technical leader who can collaborate across teams, champion best practices, and ensure the seamless integration of modern digital products. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of engineering experience, with 8+ years in technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of innovative, scalable solutions that enhance user experiences and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to champion best practices and ensure seamless integration of modern digital products.
  • Lead by example, fostering continuous improvement and upskilling within the engineering community.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in modern application architecture, cloud-native design (Azure/Google Cloud), and DevSecOps practices.
  • Hands-on experience in web technologies, CI/CD, TDD, Kubernetes, and API-First design.
  • Hands on experience across JavaScript, TypeScript, React, NodeJS etc
  • Best practices including CI/CD, TDD and SOLID
