We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team in the South West of England. As a key member of our Technical Communities, you will play a vital role in supporting the UK Government's Net Zero 2050 strategy.

About the Role

As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying risks and developing solutions to prevent fires and ensure the safety of our clients' assets. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing 3D models, performing temperature change calculations, and assessing the risk of damage to systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop fire protection strategies
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to monitor and update models
  • Recommend fire detection and firefighting methods
  • Perform fire protection calculations using specialized software
  • Assess and justify departures from BS9999

Requirements

  • Qualification to degree level or equivalent in safety and/or fire protection technologies
  • Knowledge of ETC-F and UK Fire Regulations, including BS9999
  • Experience with calculation tools and software, such as MAGIC
  • Ability to propose fire protection and detection solutions
