Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join one of their clients' factories. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work for a company that values integrity, caring, and quality in every area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all machinery is in correct working order and escalate concerns that may affect productivity.
  • Schedule and undertake planned preventative maintenance tasks on all machinery used within the factory.
  • Work closely with the health and safety department to ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Resolve mechanical breakdowns on all equipment within the production area quickly and efficiently.
  • Undertake specific project work as directed by your line manager.
  • Monitor the air handling plant and resolve any breakdowns as necessary.
  • Provide engineering support to other production departments or site services as required.
Requirements:
  • An experienced Maintenance Engineer with a proven track record of carrying out minor maintenance work on a variety of machinery.
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing plant ensuring that repairs are carried out correctly and safely, ideally in a timber frame environment.
  • A thorough understanding of process improvement by being able to monitor and improve efficiencies within the engineering team.
