Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Atlas Copco Airpower N.V. This role involves maintaining and servicing our rental fleet assets to the highest standards, while providing exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experienced in power generation and air compressors, with a strong understanding of Atlas Copco core products.
  • Competent in electrical diagrams and drawings, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
  • Willingness to develop competence in electrical wiring diagrams and tracing faults.
  • Ability to conduct resistance and continuity testing, and interpret results to provide successful solutions.
  • Sound knowledge of combustion engines, diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems and experience in welding/fabrication techniques is advantageous.
  • Competent in servicing requirements such as oil and filter changes, and completion of servicing documentation.
  • Understanding and analysis of flow diagrams/charts.
  • Demonstrates a good level of electrical engineering and mechanical fitting skills.
  • Knowledge of DC and electronic systems and their symbols and diagrams is required.
  • Ability to assess situations and take a holistic view to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Competent in the use of pc/computer equipment, i.e. data entry, typing reports, diagnostic equipment management systems, etc.
Requirements:
  • Worked within a service environment with a proven track record of product knowledge and professional interpersonal skills.
  • BOSIET/RGIT offshore survival training or equivalent.
  • Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent).
  • Served a recognised apprenticeship.
