Steel Fixing Supervisor

VGC Group is seeking an experienced Steel Fixing Ganger to join our team in Plymouth. As a Steel Fixing Ganger, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of construction workers, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise a team of construction workers
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and experience
- Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality
- Inspect completed work to verify compliance with project specifications and standards
- Address any issues or deficiencies promptly to maintain quality
- Monitor the progress of work and ensure tasks are completed on schedule
- Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols
- Perform risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate hazards
- Maintain accurate records of work activities, progress, and any incidents
- Complete and submit necessary reports and documentation as required
- 3+ years of experience in steel fixing
- Blue CSCS NVQ LVL 2 Skilled Card
- SSSTS qualification
- Competitive hourly rate of £24.63
- Holiday entitlement
- Eligibility to join the VGC pension scheme
