Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a lovely school in West Drayton. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching staff to develop and provide quality learning for pupils with special education needs.

About the Role:
  • Support the lead teacher in enabling each pupil to access their curriculum.
  • Engage with playground activities and implement a plan provided by the school.
  • Support and encourage the development of pupils' education, building relationships and looking after their physical, emotional, and social welfare.
  • Keep records and attend review meetings, communicating with parents and guardians.
  • Provide 1:1 support and ensure children's safety at all times.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with SEN pupils.
  • Friendly and compassionate approach.
  • Patient and resilient individual.
  • Sensitivity and understanding of SEN needs.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Confident working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
