Senior Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our prestigious Leeds Office environment and complement our successful electrical engineering team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, with a proven track record of developing designs and specifications for control systems across a range of products. They will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and liaise with customer engineering representatives as required.

The role will involve coordinating site, application, and design engineering resources to meet project technical requirements, ensuring effective interfacing between design, production, procurement, and installation and commissioning site teams to optimize project costs and implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification, with at least 5 years of experience in electrical design work gained in an engineering or manufacturing environment. They will also have comprehensive skills in the use of AutoCad Electrical 2020 (or equivalent) and knowledge of low voltage motor speed control applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing designs and specifications for control systems across the portfolio of products available.
  2. Coordinating site, application, and design engineering resources to meet project technical requirements.
  3. Ensuring effective interfacing between design, production, procurement, and installation and commissioning site teams to optimize project costs and implementation.
  4. Managing the technical content of projects with respect to cost, quality, contract documentation, and specifications.
  5. Attending customer sites and liaising with customer engineering representatives as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical design work gained in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive skills in the use of AutoCad Electrical 2020 (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of low voltage motor speed control applications.
