A dedicated opportunity has become available for a skilled Ophthalmic Nurse Specialist to work in a brand new eye healthcare service opening soon in Swindon, Wiltshire. As part of one of the UK's leading healthcare providers, you will have the chance to contribute to a cutting-edge eye hospital featuring the latest advancements in medical technology.

For this role, we are looking for an RGN Nurse with an active NMC Pin or an ODP with HCPC registration.

  • You will provide competent scrub provision, supporting surgeons through daily theatre lists and anticipating potential problems.
  • You will help maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical compliance, and hygiene levels by cleaning down theatres.
  • In addition to scrub services, you will undertake medicine management and audit duties, as well as maintaining accurate patient records.
  • You will also manage clinical waste and implement correct disposal procedures.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in hospital eye services or private eye clinics, knowledge of clinical practice, and awareness of current developments in Optometry. Training and coaching of others, commitment to continuous professional development, and proficiency in computer systems are also highly desirable.

We offer an excellent salary up to £41,312 per annum, depending on experience. This permanent full-time role is for 37.5 hours a week, working day shifts from Monday to Friday.
