Creative Director for Game Design

We are Trailmix, the makers of the casual mobile hit Love & Pies. We're a team that's passionate about creating games that are both fun and meaningful. As a Studio Design Manager, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve this goal.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and help us shape the creative direction of our company. You'll work closely with our Chief Creative Officer to develop frameworks and best practices that will empower our game designers and help take our games to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the CCO to operationalize our creative purpose and create a culture of growth and innovation within the design team.
  • Lead the design team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to help them reach their full potential.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive design excellence and consistency across our games.
  • Work closely with other disciplines to ensure that the design team has the resources and support they need to succeed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and use this knowledge to inform our design approach and drive innovation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading and managing design teams, with a track record of success in driving design excellence and innovation.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles and best practices, with expertise in areas such as live ops, economy, and progression systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • A strong passion for game design and a commitment to creating games that are both fun and meaningful.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
