Agricultural Engineer

Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting an experienced Agricultural Engineer to join our Chesterfield client on a permanent basis.
Job Description:In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of new machinery prior to sale, repair of customers' machinery in our workshop and sometimes on-site, and assisting with technical support given to our customers and independent engineers via telephone, face-to-face, and other correspondence methods. The role would suit a qualified and experienced plant or agricultural machinery engineer.
Duties for the role:
- Service and repair of customers' machines both in our workshop and sometimes out in the field.
- Technical and warranty repair and fault finding of customers' machines.
- Assist with training and advice to customers' engineers, dealers, and service partners.
- For lesser experienced candidates, a relevant apprenticeship must already have been completed.
- Qualifications in plant or agricultural machinery engineering or a related field.
- Good mechanical, low voltage DC electric, and hydraulic skills.
- Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics and prove fault diagnosis without component swapping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (face-to-face, telephone, written, and other methods).
- Willingness to travel for work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license (maximum 3 penalty points).
