About the Role

The Leigh Academies Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organized Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join their team at Mascalls Academy. As a key member of the Estates Team, you will be responsible for maintaining the academy premises, ensuring the health and safety of students and staff, and supporting the Facilities Manager in their daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general maintenance duties, including minor repairs and refurbishment works
  • Provide porterage services, including welcoming visitors and managing the academy's front desk
  • Support the Facilities Manager in maintaining the academy's facilities, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, and waste management
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of the academy

Requirements

  • Trustworthy, reliable, and hardworking individual with a flexible approach to working hours
  • Good DIY skills and knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Basic IT skills and an understanding of safeguarding
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
