We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer to join our Asset Finance practice in London. As part of our team, you will work on structuring and negotiating innovative transactions combining different sources of financing, including secured lending, tax and operating leasing, export credit finance, PPP/PFI and Islamic finance.

Our clients include banks, institutional investors and other non-bank funders, leasing companies, airlines, shipping companies, rolling stock companies, manufacturers and export credit agencies. You will have the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience working on deals in the broader asset finance and transportation sectors.

About Our Team

Our Global Asset Finance Group is a market-leading practice with an excellent industry reputation. We are uniformly ranked as a Tier One firm within the Asset Finance: Aviation industry by both Chambers and Legal 500 and have an extensive history of advising on award-winning and ground-breaking transactions across asset finance sectors.

Our team comprises 4 Partners, 25-28 Associates and 9 Trainees. We believe the strength of our practice comes from our emphasis on team spirit and collaboration.

Your Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing advice to clients on all major types of financing for big ticket assets, including Aircraft; Maritime; Rail; Infrastructure and Defence Assets.
  • Assisting in the structure and implementation of innovative products combining different sources of financing, including secured lending, tax and operating leasing, export credit finance, PPP/PFI and Islamic finance.
  • Working closely with other areas of the firm on deals in the broader asset finance and transportation sectors.

Your Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification as a lawyer.
  • Junior to mid-level experience as a practising lawyer, working on financing transactions.
  • Experience gained at a top tier law firm in a common law jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrated desire to work in Asset finance, although previous experience is not essential.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including hybrid working arrangements, professional development opportunities and a supportive and inclusive work environment.
