About the Role:

The University of Cambridge is seeking a full-time assistant professor in Neurolinguistics to join the Theoretical and Applied Linguistics Section at the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics.

About the Team:

The team takes a cross-disciplinary approach to linguistics, investigating issues such as bilingualism/multilingualism, neurodiversity, first and second language acquisition, and any area of core linguistics using electroencephalography (EEG).

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lectures and tutorials to undergraduate and graduate students
  • Supervise research projects and teach methods in Neurolinguistics
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new research initiatives and programmes

Requirements:

A PhD in a relevant field by the start date, relevant teaching experience, and active engagement in research, teaching, and outreach are essential. A fluent or near-fluent command of English is also required.

Salary: Around £50,000-£70,000 per year, depending on experience
