Job Overview

Nest pensions is seeking a seasoned Investment Strategist to lead our Long-Term Investment Strategy team. As a key member of our Investment directorate, you will play a critical role in advising our Chief Investment Officer and asset allocation committee on long-term investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Nest's investment cases, including investment theses, anti-theses, and burning questions, to inform asset allocation decisions.
  • Conduct research to enhance the asset class dashboard and make recommendations for asset allocation.
  • Present research findings and recommendations to the CIO and asset allocation committee.
  • Lead research into alternative index construction approaches to improve alignment with Nest's investment beliefs and enhance future expected risk-adjusted returns.
  • Oversee the development of a high-performing Long-Term Investment Strategy team to drive investment outcomes for Nest's members.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and relationships between asset classes.
  • Strong understanding of benchmark construction.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-expert audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams and collaborate with colleagues from diverse disciplines.
