Tarmac Trading Limited is seeking a skilled Mechnical Fitter Specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment, as well as assisting colleagues with plant operation.

About the Location

This regional role covers the South & South West region, and we welcome applications from candidates who live in or are commutable from Crawley, Bristol, Newport, Bridgwater, Frome, Yeovil, Taunton, Tiverton, Honiton, Ilminster, Ilchester, Minehead, Glastonbury, Street, Burnham-on-Sea, Chard, Wellington, Wells, or the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment to ensure maximum reliability.
  • Assist colleagues with plant operation and provide technical support when required.
  • Respond to plant breakdowns and perform repairs, maintaining timely and safe adherence to maintenance plans while complying with statutory legislation and company safety standards.
Requirements
  • Industrial electrical and mechanical engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of gearboxes, motors, and pumps.
  • Understanding of LOTOTO (Isolation of Plant and Equipment).
  • Excellent fault-finding skills and ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £48,000 - £58,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as access to industry-leading rewards, incentives, and benefits.
