Job Title: Assistant QS

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at LJB Recruit. As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will assist with cost estimation, budget preparation, contract administration, and financial reporting, collaborating closely with senior quantity surveyors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost management and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the commercial team in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including tenders, variations/valuations, and final accounts.
Contribute to developing project budgets and cost plans under senior quantity surveyors' supervision.
Collaborate with project teams to track cost, monitor variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities without affecting quality.
Assist in conducting quantity takeoffs and measurements from drawings and specifications to determine the quantities of materials, labour, and equipment required for construction activities.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on cost management, procurement, and project progress.

Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying.
Previous experience in Quantity Surveying roles with a focus on Utility/Civils projects.
Good understanding of commercial construction methods and best practices.
Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and relevant tools.
