Job Title: Senior Social Work Practitioner

We are seeking a highly experienced social worker to join our team in Walsall and lead the way in delivering exceptional social work services to children and young people in care.

About the Leadership Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior position and contribute to the development of our team, ensuring the highest standards of practice are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a caseload of 8-10 cases, providing strategic guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, promoting effective practice and continuous improvement.
  • Engage in safeguarding court work, ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.
  • Build partnerships with other agencies and professionals, promoting the welfare of children and ensuring their safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate parenting or safeguarding court work is essential.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Enhanced DBS or registered with DBS Update Service.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing social work practice.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
