We are seeking a talented Welder/Fabricator to work on a short-term contract with possible extension. As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MIG and TIG welding on materials such as steel, aluminium and stainless steel. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials and inspecting completed work.
The hourly rate for this position is dependent on skill set and negotiable upon completion of a welding test, estimated at £18-£23 per hour. You will also be entitled to holiday pay and a pension scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal alloys
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Prepare materials for welding by cutting, shaping and fitting components
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and tolerances
- Maintain and service welding equipment to ensure optimal performance
