Grid Substation Construction Manager

**About the Role:**
We are seeking an experienced Grid Substation Construction Manager to join our team in Bury St Edmunds. The successful candidate will have a strong background in substation and transformer construction, including cable laying and electrical works.
The role involves overseeing site staff and sub-contractors, ensuring that projects are delivered to time, cost, quality, safety, environmental, and customer management targets. Experience with CDM regulations and ISO9001 quality processes is essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage complex CDM sites from initial design/set-up phase to final commissioning.
- Coordinate site operations to ensure project delivery with full consideration to safety and third parties/customers.
- Undertake site inductions and checks on individuals/organisations competencies and authorisations.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in civil and/or electrical construction site supervision.
- Strong background in substation and transformer construction, including cable laying and electrical works.
- Experience with CDM regulations and ISO9001 quality processes.
- A safety qualification such as CITB SMSTS is required.
Salary: Up to £350 per day (LTD rate), depending on experience. Bonus available.
