Job Title: Lead Gas Engineer

Join our team at SGN, a leading company in the oil and gas industry, as a Lead Gas Engineer. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to work on our gas service/mains replacement activities.

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Gas Engineer to work predominately on gas service/mains replacement activities, excavating in public and private highways for the laying and repairing of gas pipes. As a Lead Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for working safely and as part of a team, using computer field systems, and achieving high standards of safety and technical competence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working on gas service/mains replacement activities, excavating in public and private highways for the laying and repairing of gas pipes
  • Using computer field systems to ensure accurate and efficient work
  • Achieving high standards of safety and technical competence
  • Mentoring trainee engineers to develop their skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • A friendly and approachable attitude when working as part of a team, with excellent customer service skills
  • Qualifications: GN01, GN02
  • Qualifications (Preferred but not essential): NRSWA, ELR
  • A full and valid driving licence is essential
  • Comfortable with technology (for using field-based systems)
