Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Optical Assistant to join our team in Croydon. As a key member of our clinical team, you'll play a vital role in supporting our optometrists and theatre staff in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a theatre runner and escort in busy theatre environments
  • Assist in the running of pre and post-operative clinics for all patients
  • Work alongside optometrists in the day-to-day running of clinics, carrying out relevant diagnostics examinations
  • Prepare all areas prior to clinical activities, ensuring equipment is checked and ready for use
  • Manage diagnostic and theatre equipment on a daily basis

  • Competitive salary: £26,625 to £31,529 per annum (dependent on ophthalmology experience)
  • 4-day week with flexible shifts (7:30am - 5:30pm) and 1 in 4 weekends
