Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Older Adult's Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our team in delivering excellent mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Conduct clinical research and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Provide education and training to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
  • Full GMC Registration
  • Management skills and experience
  • Basic computer skills, including ability to use email and internet

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Publications in the field of psychiatry
  • Management training

Special Aptitudes:

  • Experience of training senior house officers and multi-disciplinary staff

Personal Circumstances:

  • Full and valid driving license and car
