Job Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Trimex. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the development of rotating electrical machines, including motors, pumps, and fans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop clean-sheet mechanical designs for rotating electrical machines, utilizing Autodesk Inventor and other relevant software.
  2. Conduct thorough analysis of conceptual designs, identifying potential component failure modes and material strengths.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective results.
  4. Develop and maintain high-quality 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings, adhering to industry standards.
  5. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure seamless production and assembly processes.
  6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in mechanical design and development, with a focus on rotating electrical machines.
  3. Strong understanding of design analysis skills, including Design for Manufacturing, DFMEA, and PFMEA.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
Desirable Skills
  1. Experience with ANSYS, including static structural analysis, thermal, and modal analyses.
  2. Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics and rotating machines.
  3. Ability to work with a wide variety of materials and manufacturing processes.
  4. Good understanding of BOM creation and management, as well as supplier liaison.
