Job Summary: We are seeking a Cemetery Grounds Operative to join our team at a Victorian Catholic Cemetery in London NW10. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the cemetery grounds, assisting with grave preparation, and ensuring the site remains a peaceful and presentable place of quiet reflection.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Cemetery Foreman to carry out a high level of grass strimming and mowing, ensuring grass cuttings are collected and cleared from headstones and memorials. They will also assist with grave preparation and surrounding area maintenance for funeral services, as well as perform general maintenance tasks such as removing headstones, topping up graves, and realigning unstable memorials.

The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the cemetery tidy, free of litter, and ensuring that it remains a dignified and respectful environment for mourners and visitors.

We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, plus benefits including company pension, life insurance, on-site parking, and sick pay.
