Job Title: Educational Specialist

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science at a mixed school with a focus on every child's potential to be a successful learner.


Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons using various approaches to continually enhance teaching and learning.
  • Monitor student progress and keep student records with assessment outcomes and targets set at regular intervals in line with Academy policy.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and personal care of children and young people.
  • Ensure continuity, progression, and cohesiveness in all teaching.
  • Set homework regularly to consolidate and extend learning and encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning.
  • Track student progress and monitor achievement against targets set, taking appropriate action on student outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience of teaching Science at the secondary or higher education level.
