Primary SEMH Education Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional SEMH Primary Teacher to join our TimePlan Education team in Southampton, commencing in January 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate teacher to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, experience working with children who require SEMH support, and a patient and empathetic approach to teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that address the unique needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters emotional growth, development, and academic success.
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to provide a coordinated approach to each child's development.
  • Utilize creative strategies to inspire and motivate children, empowering them to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children who require SEMH support.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.
  • A competitive salary in line with teaching pay scales, along with opportunities for ongoing professional development and career progression.
